The chapel was built for the needs of the regional primary school of the village. It is a very small basilica with semicircular sanctuary. The use of traditional materials of the region, as well as the respect of the characteristics of Byzantine church architecture were fundamental aspects for the design. So, the result had the morphology and some materials that make reference both to the tradition and the Byzantine church architecture, while the clean, minimalistic, white volumes emphasize that the church is a product of contemporary design.
