In this bioclimatic house in Episkopi, the building program was expressed functionally, aiming to fully exploit the environmental conditions, in order to save energy and achieve thermal comfort. Thus, the spaces were translated into volumes and created a composition, which was developed around the southeast veranda. The volume that accommodates the public spaces of the house is painted in grey colour, whilst the volume that accommodates the private spaces is made by exposed concrete. The layout of the composition was designed to provide privacy to the users, whilst providing insolation and sun protection, natural ventilation and lighting. Morphologically, both the design and the materiality are based on minimalistic typologies, following the archetypes of modernism. The design of the "Π" shaped frame of the western elevation follows these trends, and in a bold design move, connects the garage with the rest of the composition.
